How will 2024 election maps change Cumberland County?

Fayetteville Technical Community College will hold a ribbon-cutting and conduct demonstrations at its new swift water rescue training facility on Monday. The ribbon-cutting will be at 2 p.m. at the facility, which is part of the Larry Keen Fire & Emergency Training Complex at 775 Tom Starling Road. Training demonstrations will follow.

The Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Department and partnering agencies will host a community dialogue with Jane Elliott, an internationally acclaimed teacher and diversity trainer, to discuss race in the U.S. The free public meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 14 in Huff Concert Hall at Methodist University, 5400 Ramsey St.
