Thomas, “Tommy” James Miller, 9, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Tommy was born at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on July 3, 2014. From the day he was born he brought so much love and joy into the lives of his parents and his sister. He loved to tell jokes and make others laugh and he was known for his happy spirit.

Tommy was in the 4th grade at Cumberland Mills Elementary School. His favorite hobby was taking things apart to see what they were made of and putting the parts back together to create new things. He loved to race his remote-controlled cars and fly his RC Drone; Tommy was very competitive. His favorite color was Red however his favorite team was the Broncos.

In his spare time, he would collect and trade Pokémon cards and if it was his choice of what to eat for supper it would be seafood, and his favorite was crab legs.

Tommy was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, whom he was named after, Thomas Rutledge Miller.

Tommy is survived by his parents, James “Jamie” Thomas Miller, and Terrilyn Riley; sister, Hannah Miller; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Miller; maternal grandparents, Diane Burnworth and Robert Riley; Aunts, April Knight, Meagan Petryk, Crystal Isaacs, and numerous Cousins.

His parents were so blessed to have him as their son, to know Tommy was to love him.

The family would like to thank the firefighters, paramedics and first responders that did all that they could do to help them in their time of need.
