Milton Jerome. Yarboro, 95, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, April 03, 2024 in Stone Mountain, GA.
Milton Jerome Yarboro was born October 4, 1928, to the late Colonel and Bessie Yarboro. He was born in Rocky Mount North Carolina and at an early age the family moved to Fayetteville North Carolina. His early education was received in the former Fayetteville City Schools-namely Newbold Elementary and E.E. Smith High School.
He was the former Director of Planning and Placement at Fayetteville State University.,
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10 am at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Burial will be in the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Liberty at 12 noon.
He is survived by a son, Mark Jerome Yarboro of Fayetteville; daughters, Miriam Faye Yarboro of Charlotte, Michelle Dinkins and Darwin Dinkins of Las Vegas, NV, and Marcia Yarboro of Atlanta, GA. Eight grandchildren, Latosha, Stewart, Kechele, Carmen, Shante, Darius, Demarcus and Marcus, along with a brother, Dr. Theodore Yarboro, Sr. of Sharonton, PA.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5-7pm.
