Lexie Koonce Jackson, 86, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She was born on November 9, 1935, in Cumberland County to Viola J. and James C. Koonce, the youngest of five. She was a member of Stoney Point Baptist Church. After retiring from Burlington Industries, Lexie was a baker at the Bordeaux Winn-Dixie. Her hobbies included gardening and quilting. Her life, best described as being a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, friend, and beloved child of her Savior, Jesus, was happiest when she could meet needs of those around her. It was busy, spilling over with love and service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Currie Jackson and Lutrail Hulon; sons, Lamar Jackson and Phillip Jackson; siblings, Leanna K. Johnson, Stacy Koonce, Martha K. Walters, and Dennis Koonce; step-sons, Randy Hulon and Brent Hulon and step-grandson Jason Hulon. She is survived by daughter Marlene J. Wofford and her husband, Larry; son Darryl C. Jackson and his wife, Wendy; two step-sons, Bob Hulon and his wife, Grace and Ray Hulon and his wife, Debbie; special friend Judy H. Jackson; five granddaughters, Samantha Ratley and her husband, Donny Yanosik, Lindsey Jackson, Ashley Wofford Leong and her husband, Joe, Brittany J. Lockamy and her husband, Tony, Julia W. Rhoden and her husband, David; seven great grandchildren, Lucas and Ethan Yanosik, Trey and Jackson Lockamy, Ellie and Aralyn Leong, and Thomas Rhoden; seven step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at Stoney Point Baptist Church, Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 3 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and family at 2 PM prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Stoney Point Baptist Church cemetery fund.
