Each year, Cumberland County Schools names a graduating senior at each high school as a Standout Senior. The 17 2023 Standout Seniors are bright, hard-working students who have overcome the odds to graduate and dedicate themselves to serving their community.

Joshaih Blue will graduate from A.B. Wilkins High School. Here is what he had to say about his high school years and his future:
Being picked to be the standout student. Me facing adversity and criticism just being able to push through hard times.
I plan to get my CDL so that later on I can start my LLC and name it after my grandma.
Playing football … that’s it!
“Have yourself when nobody else ‘has’ you.”
I’m very thankful for (CCS) guiding and leading me on to success.
Mr. Nobles for telling me to “believe in yourself and that you can do anything.”
I attended Loyd E. Auman Elementary School in Fayetteville.
