BLAKE AND LONDON DEVEN

A timeline of events in the disappearance of Blake and London Deven

Posted

The search continues for missing Fayetteville residents Blake and London Deven, with investigators asking the public last week to help construct a timeline of interactions with the Deven family.

Here’s the timeline thus far in the circumstances surrounding the case:

  • 2015 — Avantae Deven and her family move to Fayetteville.
  • June 5, 2019 — Avantae Deven’s LLC, Nelson & Johnson, purchases a home on Berriedale Drive. Deven still resides there.
  • June 6, 2019 — London Deven is last seen alive in Fayetteville, though the location where she was seen has not been made public.
  • Aug. 1, 2022 — Blake Deven is last seen alive, though it is unclear where he was last seen. Avantae Deven says she last heard from him when he called her from a store either on Pamalee Drive or Ramsey Street.
  • Jan. 19, 2024 — Deven reports her son missing at 1:17 p.m.
  • March 27 — The Fayetteville Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation search three Fayetteville locations as part of the investigation into Blake’s disappearance.
  • March 28 — The Fayetteville Police Department issues a news release about Blake’s disappearance.
  • March 30 — Cape Fear Valley Medical Center sends a welfare check to Deven’s home when she does not respond to staffers’ calls about her mother’s care, but no one answers the door.
  • April 4 — An additional missing person tied to the Deven case is reported at 11:43 a.m. The victim’s name is redacted; it is unclear whether this is the report of London’s disappearance. The Fayetteville Police Department announces London is also missing.
  • April 12 — Police announce the discovery of “partial skeletal remains” at an undisclosed location (not the Devens’ Berriedale Drive home).
  • April 18 — The Fayetteville Police Department issues a news release asking for the public’s help to compile a timeline of when Blake and London were last seen.
